    • Conduct asset allocation studies and set strategic and tactical allocations

    • Collaborate with clients to establish an investment deployment program for investments and assist with its implementation

    • Evaluate existing portfolios, consultants, custodians, investment managers, and other service providers across performance, risk analytics, portfolio composition, etc.

    • Review niche or opportunistic investments not commonly held on investment platforms

    • Lead or assist with strategic planning, reporting, cash flow planning, budgeting, and the development of forward-looking investment calendars

    • Prepare risk budget including evaluating risk tolerance, time horizon constraints, and liquidity preferences to achieve attractive risk-adjusted returns

    Third-Party Services & Team Structure

    • Manage the RFP and search process for third-party service providers including investment consultants, custodians, investment managers, and analytic and reporting software

    • Leverage Bostwick’s professional networks to source and/or evaluate non-investment third-party service providers such as attorneys, accountants, trustees, and banks

    • Assist with recruiting, evaluating, and retaining talent

    Governance

    • Serve on investment committees, advisory roles, and boards of directors

    • Provide insights to fund managers and placement agents on investment communications and fund launches including data rooms, LP/GP alignment, presentation materials, and timeline, launch strategy and exits

    • Research and evaluate niche investments not currently on manager’s platform

    • Make connections within our network

    • Author educational and thought leadership pieces for audiences of varying investment sophistication

  • We help families determine whether a family office structure is the right solution. If so, how to design it thoughtfully, efficiently, and in alignment with long-term family goals.

We partner with families to design, build, and launch family offices with disciplined governance, trusted advisors, and institutional-quality investment oversight. We can help with family office and/or investment office design and formation.

We help established family offices evolve — supporting generational change, onboarding new staff, improving effectiveness, and guiding transitions with clarity and independence. We offer ongoing advisory as well as family office outsourcing, transitions, or dissolution.
